Hey!
I'm Hetty, the founder and owner of Curls by Hetty, Nottingham's first curly hair salon. Where do I begin on this incredible journey of curls. My sole purpose for starting this, was having my little boy Parker in 2019. I straightened
my curls to get them cut or coloured, which I didn't mind as I went through my 20's relaxing and
straightening my curls to fit into a world which never celebrated them.
This made me question... What about Parker? Why am I straightening my curls to get a cut?
Why have I never came out of a salon with my curls? Why have I never been taught about my curls?
Curls by Hetty was born... after doing research, travelling the UK, Leeds to London to submerge myself into everything on curly education, I began working mobile as a curl specialist, but I always knew a curly salon was desperately needed in Nottingham.
